Register now for important provider training sessions
Annual course training is required for current Medi-Cal providers and those newly hired.
Refer to the Course Schedule on page 2 for a list of courses, the dates they are offered and the links to register. You can also find details about the topics covered for each course.
Following the webinar, an email is sent to you with a link to:
- Attest to completing the training.
- Complete a survey about the session.
- Listen to and view a recording of the training material.
Registration
There are two one-hour sessions scheduled for each topic and date. You must register for one of the sessions. By registering, you give identifying details to ensure you, and your provider group (if applicable), receive full credit for completing the training.
- Register for a session even if you are unable to attend. You will be given information on how to access the training online and how to receive credit for completion.
- Use the links in the table on page 2 to register and then add the courses to your calendar.
- Submit your questions during the webinar. The subject matter expert who facilitates the training will give instructions.
Training attestation requirements
All attendees must fill out the training attestation. A link to the attestation will be sent once you have registered. Providers cannot waive required training. If you log in as a group, submit your own attestations separately to ensure each attendee receives credit.

1 If you are a current member of an Interdisciplinary Care Team (ICT), you are required to complete all training sessions marked with an asterisk (*). Completing these sessions is a regulatory requirement to maintain compliance.

Review course topics
The following gives additional details about the topics covered for each course.
- Accessibility and Accommodations – A review of the current required or mandated statewide Physical Accessibility Review Survey (PARS). This survey is used to identify potential accessibility barriers to providers’ offices, clinics and other health care providers for seniors and people with disabilities.
- Long-term services and supports (LTSS) training includes definitions, explanations and details about the following topics:

- Dementia – This training session includes detailed information on understanding dementia, symptoms and progression of dementia, understanding and managing behaviors and communication problems caused by dementia, caregiver stress and its management, and community resources for enrollees and caregivers.
- Model of Care (MOC) training is required for Special Needs Plan (SNP) participating providers, and all ICT members. Training completion is required within 90 days of contracting, hiring or becoming a delegated entity, and yearly thereafter (by December 31 of the year). The MOC training includes information on:
